Is a golf swing trainer truly the solution to bettering your golfing swing?
When considering a golf swing trainer, it’s important to understand precisely what part of the swing one wishes to become better. The golf swing is composed of many parts, much more than the start golfer would ever imagine. From the instant the club head starts to move away from the ball at the start of the back swing, to the mild deceleration at the finish, lots of elements have taken place. Naturally, all of this happens in matter of just a couple of seconds.
Technically, there is only 1 perfect swing, and few obtain it. Even the professionals train daily, attesting to the undeniable fact that their swings aren’t perfect.
Most beginning golfers share one common error but which is making an attempt to HIT the ball. In the right golf swing, the ball is just in the way of the perfect swing. The ball just happens to be there and has no influence on the swing in any way. This is very tough to realise for the new golfer. This results in the new golfer swinging much too swiftly, and gripping the far to forcefully.
Such elements as swing plane ( which changes a little at the start of the downswing ), the revolution of the club face as it approaches the impact area, and club head speed vs. The rate of the hands must be practiced in the right way. Practice alone doesn’t make perfect, PERFECT practice is essential. Any golf swing trainer is designed with this end in mind.
There are a plethora of contraptions on the market today designed to help improve the golf swing. Many of them however presume that the golfer understands the fundamental components of the right grip, stance or address position, weight on the feet, and posture. All of which occur BEFORE the swing even starts.
Once these elements are understood, a good swing coach like the Medicus iron are extremely helpful. The Medicus for example will identify precisely at which point in the swing things went awry. This permits the golfer to make corrections in realtime, and in real conditions. Used properly, a golfer can essentially hit balls with this training device. When you can, you’ve nailed the golf swing.
If a new golfer is confident a fault lies in the swing itself, and not the other elements discussed above, a good swing trainer can work wonders in reaching a better swing.
