Three Tips for New Golf Players
Golf is a relatively complex game and playing properly involves getting various factors right. But this does not mean that it will stop you from becoming a good golf player if you are just starting out. As long as you understand that it will involve plenty of practice and that you shouldn’t expect to learn everything all at one time, nothing should stop you from turning into a great player. Continue reading for advice that can help you with your golf game. By the way, one of my favorite ways to improve golf fitness is with P90X, highly recommended. Check out this P90X pictures site.
The first step to making your golf game better is to ensure that you have the correct equipment. This is not suggesting that you should get the highest priced equipment on the market. In fact, if you are a beginner you should get the cheapest clubs you can find. These can be purchased from somewhere like a garage sale until you are sure about which golf clubs fit the way that you play. For example, if you need lighter clubs that are easier to swing, you should buy clubs that have graphite shafts. But, you need to remember that the cheapest are steel shaft clubs. The only way to find the perfect set of clubs is to try them out, even if that means asking to try your friend’s clubs while on the range. Once you have picked out the correct golf clubs, you can then invest in a set of personally fitted golf clubs. Balance is the most important element of a good swing. Just remember, it will be difficult to hit the ball if you’re having trouble staying on your feet. You’ll be able to hit the ball every time though if you are able to learn how to pivot around a single point. This important pivot point is located just below the point where your collarbone meets the base of your neck; three inches below it to be exact. This is the place or point that is fixed and the rest of your body should pivot around it. There are golf exercises that will help you correct balance issues. Be sure to add a few exercises to help develop strength and flexibility too.
Practice makes perfect – this applies to golf also. The more you practice, the more your game will improve. However, if you’ve never taken lessons, you might want to book at least one session with a professional, who can analyze your game and tell you whether you have any bad habits that you need to correct. After all, what’s the point of practicing for hours on end, if you are only cementing bad habits and aren’t seeing any improvement in your golf game. Instead of getting keyed up over performance, make a point of having fun. It’s important not to put so much pressure on yourself that you end up hating the game because you’re not living up to your expectations. The professionals in the game were only able to get where they are because they spent long hours every day practicing the game. While there are so many different things required to make a golf game great, these are sure to get you started on the right foot. Just focus on the game and what you want to achieve, and you will soon be the envy of the golf course! Lastly, if you really want to get fit, buy P90X. It really works.
